How will my sponsored child benefit from my monthly sponsorship? Your child will receive an education by a Christian teacher in a church school, textbooks, uniforms, and daily nutritional meals in a safe and loving Christ-centered environment where they are exposed to the love of Jesus.
Will I be the only sponsor for my child? Yes. You will be the only sponsor for your child. Your continuing dedication, assistance, and encouragement can change the life of your sponsored child.
Is my monthly gift tax deductible? Your monthly sponsorship gift is tax deductible. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Will I receive a receipt of my monthly support? You will receive a statement quarterly from Hope Generation notifying you of the date and amount received for your sponsorship.
How long does my sponsorship last? We offer you the opportunity to continue sponsorship of your child until they have graduated from the sponsorship program. If at the time of graduation you would like to continue with a new child, that opportunity will be available.
What happens if I am unable to continue with my child sponsorship? We are aware that changing circumstances may cause you to be unable to continue with your monthly support. In the event that you choose to discontinue your child sponsorship, please notify us immediately so we may find another sponsor for your sponsored child.
What information will I receive from my child? Every year you will receive two letters from your child. You will also receive a progress report and photo of your child.
Can I send letters to my sponsored child? We encourage you to send letters your child. This is a great way to connect with your child on a personal level. They want to know about you, as much as you want to know about them. Let them know about your family, pets, hobbies and sports, work or school, where you live, and anything else that they would find interesting about you.
Can I send photos? Yes! Your child will love to have pictures of you. However, please be sensitive to the cultural differences and make sure that those shown in your picture are dressed modestly.
Can I send gifts? Your child will be excited to receive cards or gifts occasionally from you, especially for special occasions in their life. When sending gifts please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Limit your giving to no more than 1 package a month for each child
- Gifts must fit inside a #10 envelope (4 1/8 x 9 12) and not exceed 1” in thickness
- Please write your sponsored child’s full name on each item
